What is Grace House?

Grace House is a group home for socially disadvantaged adults which provides time-limited residential accommodation, in a group co-operative setting, with counselling service and 24-hour supervision, for up to 10 residents while they work towards independent living.

Who does Grace House serve?

Grace House serves any disabled man or woman who has the potential for future independent living and who could benefit from a program involving a supportive environment for a time period usually up to one year. A full diversity of disabilities can be accommodated including those of a psychological, psychiatric, social and/or physiological nature. Preference is given to residents of the Halton region.

Admission is by referral only. Referrals are accepted from community agencies, professionals, psychiatrists and local hospitals.

Is there a charge for the program?

Residents pay a fee for room and board which is on a sliding scale geared to income.
